  1. So it must be an easy job when the axes are out. Do you mean the two shafts for left and right wheel? Must these be out before the 'pumpkin can be removed'? I have no idea how to remove both these shafts.
  2. I want to replace the gasket of my Plymouth P19 differential. Does anyone has experience with this and have some photo or a video of it? It looks like this is quite job when I see the explosion view in the service manual.
  3. Thanks for all your help, the thread is also very usefull
  4. I have the idea that the holes are not perfectly round anymore, they look a little oval. Do you think I can just tap them in? @soth122003 Do you have pictures of the replacement? If so, do you want to share them?
  5. I managed to removed (drilled out) the so called 'silent blocks' and bushings on both end of both rear leaf springs of my P19. Does anyone knows a (preferrable cheaper) alternative for the original bushings and silent blocks? I hope that someone of you guys has experience with replacing and did replace then in the past. After removing the silent blocks, a thin bushing left. Does anyone know if that should stay there, or should be removed?
  6. I tried the tool that @Merle Coggins mentioned. I put it on and hit the tie rod a few times with a hammer and give it some more turn on the tool and finally it came out. Perfect! The idea is to remove the whole wheel assembly from the chassis so the chassis can be cleaned, sanded and painted. So next step is now removing the back wheel assembly
  7. Thanks Andyd, I think its midnight in Australia already, isn't it? But I think I will remove the only the lower and upper bars. Only reason to undo the bushes is for replacing the seals of them. I did not tell about my other problem and that is removing the end package. I cannot get that thing off. I tried heating, penetration oil and a pully puller. Does anyone of you has another idea?
  8. I want to remove the front wheel suspension of my P20, because I want to sand blast the chassis. But the bushing assy (all 4 on both side) are stuck, I think because of rust. Anybody has an idea how to remove them? I tried with an impact wrench and a break bar. Still no movement. Would it hurd when I heat it up?

    head bolts tight

Thanks guys, great tips. I first used my 'own made breaker bar' with this I manage to get all bolts loose and then got them out with the impact. Do you think I should replace all bolts?
  10. Today I wanted to remove the head of my engine. But I could not get any of the bolts out. I did not put much force for long time on them, afraid breaking them. Does anyone has some advice how to remove these bolts carefully. Or is it better not to remove the head? I want to clean the valves and replace the head gasket.
  11. Think it is quite difficult. Was yours welded wit mig/mag welder or with elektrodes?
  12. Today something terrible happened.. My exhaust feld down on de concrete floor.. So after a lot of work I still need to order another one if I can find one.
  13. After drilling the threat end almost until the block and with brutal force a hammer and chisel between the block and the exhaust, finally the threat ends brake off. The exhaust is still almost perfect!
  14. I counted 13, including the 2 that I still have to do. Do you mean there are 2 more somewhere? I have looked everywere (I think) but cannot find those. Can you explain were they should be?
  15. Hi guys, I am really enjoying this forum. It is very valuable for a beginner like me. Does anyone has an idea what I can do best to get my manifold off? There are still 2 thread ends in which I drilled almost to the end. But the manifold still will not go off and there is totally no movement. Now I am not sure how to continue.
