    Im back in the game with a 49 SD

    I remember as a kid bolting up a add on OD,

    R10s  seem impossble to find

    Am I better of with a different rear end?

    My new Special Deluxe runs freat just geared too low

      Seems to getting way hard these days especially at a reasonable price.

      Look everywhere, even local or regional Craigslist.

      Lucky to find 2 some years ago on now dead Yahoo Group for 49 Plymouths. They were still about a 5 hour drive away.

      Any old wrecking yards within driveable distance?

      My 50 Ply. has a 3.9 rear with the OD and cruises Easily at 70mph. I think a 3.73 would also be do-able but not worth the trouble with my current physical limitations.

       

      Enjoy the rebuild, do not make it work.

      Im finding out thes R10s are getting hard to come by

      Im almost certain my p18 has a 3.9 rear end 

      I will dig deeper. Currently in MN,  Iowa has a lot of old tin who knows...

      maybe look into a 3.5 and frankenstein it
