  1. I'm hoping to find a steering wheel in a salvage yard that is useable but fixable-not a pile of crap I would spend weeks repairing. It would be super coming from a donor Mopar - hoping for the right splines too. Don't think much newer than the 70's.
  2. I want to change out the stock steering wheel on my '48-club coupe. I also want to keep the stock steering column and prefer something Mopar. Sure, I can source an aftermarket something -lots of wheels and sources- and not tough to do. I have changed the stock seat for buckets and while it is very cool looking, it's time for an update to go with the rest of my modifications. So, any ideas?
  3. I don't know for sure if its one piece -its gone on the front side of the door. The rear door part-we're talking passenger club coupe door- has a piece that hangs on the metal channel with a wire bent to stay there. It is completely worn out. Thanks guys. I'll do some calling.
  4. Looking for a source for the window channel that goes INSIDE the door for the glass to slide on for my '48 Plymouth coupe. Plenty of places for upper window channel-the stuff at the top of the door when the window is up-wind lace and much more. But haven't found that. Don't want the window to rattle when it's in the down position. Thanks.
  5. The holes are not worn at all and the springs and pins are original to the car. Just seems hard to hold everything in place and compress the spring enough to place the pin.
  6. I did a search for this topic but was unable to find what I was looking for. I just re-did the interior on my coupe. Taking the handles off wasn't really bad. Putting them back on is a different story. Is there a secret to re-installing them? A special tool? A fairy who does magic? I find compressing the spring on the back side of the panel, putting on the escutcheon plate, pushing the handle on to the alignment hole for the pin and then putting in the pin a bit of a struggle and so far haven't been successful at the many attempts I've made. Certainly there is a way to make it happen.
  7. Doesn't look to tough. Might be safer with a three point vs seat belts only. Thanks guys!
  8. Going to search thru these articles. Thanks for your help. Links don't work. I'll keep trying.
  9. Ok , newby to the site but not to the hobby. I have a '48 Plymouth coupe. It's not your grandpa's car anymore and has bee modified with newer brakes , engine, trans etc. I would like to use three point seatbelts. I went through the search function but didn't mush useful. So anybody on here have something I can use?
