  1. Greetings all, Does anyone know the torque specs for the crankshaft pulley on a flathead 6 (251)? It is not the original engine in the truck but the truck is a 1947. Thanks.
  2. Hello All, I have a 1947 Dodge WD21 flatbed I am restoring. I am in need of new rear motor mount "brackets". I have already ordered the rubber inserts but have found cracks on each of my existing "O" brackets for these inserts. I can't find "anything" online that remotely resembles these things. Anyone know of a dealer for these things? Thanks.
  3. Happy "Mopar" Day to all. I have been blessed with a 1947 Dodge WD21 Flatbed that I am very eager to start having fun restoring. This beauty however has not run in 30 years but just makes it more of a challenge and increased my curiosity. I wonder if anyone has experience with this same truck with a 230 ci flathead 6 and has successfully done an engine conversion on it. What size engine(s) have been installed and how much and what type of modifications were needed during the process. I have all intensions of restoring this flathead but I always like to be aware of other possibilities. I have done engine conversions in the past and know quite well of the issues that can arise but I loved the experiences and will always cherish what I have learned in the process. I appreciate any suggestions based on these type of experiences. Thanx. R/ M/J
  4. Hello, I very recently was "gifted" this wonderful truck. A 1947 Dodge WD21 1 ton Flatbed. The catch is though, it hasn't run in 30 years. I believe it's still in good enough condition to restore. I still need to inspect the underside of it but I'm optimistic. I'm pretty concerned about something I spotted almost imediatley when I first saw it. The back of the engine is touching the firewall. There is no clearance at all between back of the head and the firewall. I'm left to wonder if this is normal or if i have a serious issue underneath. Open to sugestions or general info. Thanks and I'm glad to be apart of this group of Mopar inthusiast. R/ MoparJigsaw
