  2. aw geez I reckon I'm kinda spoiled then as the custom exhaust shops around here have some nice quality products and craftsmanship to choose from...none of those "we can make it fit" einsteins in these local shops

  7. Not a problem, I ended up buying the plug for the seal, as you can see the copper seal on my original plug was hammer flat. It took everything I had and a cheater pipe to get that plug loose. One of the many hacks I found on this car. I think someone put the impact on it, dialed it up to "hulk smash" and let fly. Trying to get Dorman to fix the issue though...

  9. Thanks for the pic. Well I got it in. I've become an old master at removing and installing clutch linkage. I can see your brake pedal return spring there. Now I know where it goes. Thanks, Marc.

  11. The tie rod in my 1/2 ton was just soft steel . I put it in the vise and pulled it straight . That was about 19 years ago and no problems .

  12. When I put my starter in my Dodge I used a knuckled short socket and two knuckles on the extensions of a 3/8" drive to do the tightening. Your right it was a pain. Dave

  14. Tie or drag link? If it is drag link I suspect it is supposed to be as my 52 B3B is OEM bent.

  15. If there is a tax stamp on that jar..it is not moonshine, just distilled corn liquor....as a very young lad I happened upon no less than three working stills while traveling through the woods where I grew up.......see this, you just keep walking and keep your mouth shut...I knew two of the men running these stills, good idea who the third one belonged to.

  18. I’ve heard the “Jesus Clip” reference with the same definition that Bob gave. Even though there are correct technical names for the clips, as referenced by Sniper, any clip that tends to fly into the nether regions of the shop upon removal or installation is called a Jesus clip.

  20. Isn't the Dodge body shell a "Big Body" car same as the Desoto and Chrysler? Plymouth's are all by themselves...smaller platform.

  21. Thanks for the reply, but I do know from experience that the Chrysler has more snaps and in different pattern than the Dodge. Also, the P-15 Plymouth is different. I think the Desoto is the same as the Chrysler, and that leaves the Dodges as unique to themselves.

  22. UPDATE: was bit in early June, found out in 10 days, lucky, immediately on meds. Now seven months later, still major fatigue, brain fog, weak legs, very difficult to work sequential problem like electrical wiring, very hard, even engine startup, etc. Any one have similar experience. If so, suggestions are always welcome. Now trying to restart my suburban so I can obviously get it legal and drive it. Once cleaned up a bit, will sell it. Probably this spring.
