  3. just bought a new to me 1950 dodge special. it has a 350 turbo 350 setup hacked in, to be changed. i have a 250 inline 6 going in. this is not the car for purists. Solid bones to start. First question what are people doing for trailer hitches? Second question. is there a junkyard rear sway bar that is preffered. thanks

  4. Well it was inevitable. A Tesla electric big rig ran off the freeway, into the Sierra Nevada national forest, and is attempting to set the forest on fire. Fire crews have been pouring water on to the trees to save them since 3 or 4 o’clock in the morning, but the batteries themselves will have to burn out because there’s no way to extinguish a lithium fire. Of course the fumes are voluminous and toxic, so fire fighters are forced to wear breathing apparatus. They are managing to save the trees from fire but nobody knows about the potential toxic effects of the offgassing on trees. Meanwhile hundreds of truckers and tourists are stuck until I-80 reopens. Edit: news reports did mot mention the driver. I fear he did not survive impact with 90’ tall trees. So was this a steer-by-wire issue? I don’t know much about the Tesla Truck, but the Cybertruck is by wire and people say it steers great.

  6. the first truck i ever owned (still have) i named "George", my 2ton truck i named "Rob" (after Dodgeb4ya 🙂) I picked up a 1.5ton from a forum member who handle is "Jimbob" (so that's what i call it.) i picked up another 1.5ton from Craig's List for $1.00 so i call it "Buck" lastly Young Ed tried to name my one ton Sprite at 2019 BTT50's weekend but, it really never took so, i just call it "the flatbed" (but, i still have the magnet you made for it Ed 😀) my 94 we call "the Ram" and the 2004 we call it "the 3500"

  7. Bit of a catchup on this thread, there was some slow progress but the last few months have seen the car return from the Trimmers, Glass all installed and now on the home stretch getting the least few jobs ticked off before the final engineering inspection. Hopefully on the road legally in the next couple of months.

  8. had a great time running a half-day with the pic-nic crew a couple of years ago in NH. one of these things is not like the others.... if there are any locals in the oneonta/cooperstown area that aren't doing the whole thing, i highly recommend at least dropping in for part of a day with the group. a lot of fun, and great to meet some forum members in person. i hope to do it again when it's in new england again.

  9. I have a D25 also. Those rubber boots kinda work but deteriorate. Best to take the strip off, use some clear silicone and replace the strip. Make sure you have lots of sealer where the tabs go through. My car lives inside and I only get water in the spark plug wells when I wash it. I just run it for a bit and they dry quickly.
