Suggest your first step is to buy a service manual. Steering box adjustments are thoroughly explained in the manual.2 points

you mentioned that at the time you had fuel....good to know that you made this check...what was the condition of the spark...present and of sufficient voltage to fire...or was it just a faint red/yellowish spark? Now this leads directly to the next question....Are you still running stock ignition and 6 volt....and if 6 volt, did you in replacing the coil, put on a model that has the internal resistor (GM) application? As the coil get warms it will slowly add the resistance in there and on 6 volt, you do not want to cut your applied voltage...what is the part number for the coil you bought?1 point

Those yellow-tinted sunglasses you see advertised on teebee and in magazines (also at the Dollar Store) really work great for eliminating glare and increasing vision at night and when it's raining. They really do work that well.1 point

I built one for my truck. It took about 8 hours to build it, and it is very strong. You can see it here: http://p15-d24.com/topic/23400-some-progress/page-49?hl=%2052b3b%20%20joe It is nice for pulling smaller trailers around, and for doing light duty work. I have pulled around 4,000-4,500 pounds with it a few times, and it is slow going. I always avoid busy roads, and fast traffic. It is a lot of fun, and I get a lot of compliments.1 point

I think like Frankie, you should have had the exhaust work done prior...this was less than your expected total you posted....they did it exactly to my specs and the system was designed for easy in and out if needed.... 1941 Dodge Business Coupe....1 point

I removed mine by removing the steering wheel, horn wire, undoing the dash hanger, frame mounting bolts and drag link. With the front end jacked up and front suspension hanging I was able to simply slide it out the bottom. Installation of the replacement box was just to reverse the process. Didn't need to touch the floor panels or anything else. Mike1 point

For those who may wish to witness the broader picture, the following link gets a documentary of the cars and characters that participated in the Victoria Caper. In short, a bunch of Yanks from Calif., Ariz., Tex., Ore., and Wash., converged on Victoria, BC, to meet-up with more of the afflicted from BC and Alberta, Canada. This trip included a good portion of wives, girl friends, kids and grandkids. We were about a week on the road together before separating for our various homesteads. WE JUST HAD THE BEST TIME! There is a "button" for a slide show at the upper right of the opening page that will step through the images if you wish. http://smg.photobucket.com/user/wstory/library/Victoria?sort=9&page=1 I see that many of the pics are out of sequence but I'm tired of fighting PhotoBucket!1 point
