MBF Posted May 29, 2008 Report Share Posted May 29, 2008 I need some help (just ask my better half). Will a distributor from a 52 Dodge 218 block fit in my 36 plymouth? Looking for something that doesn't have all that internal oiling and cleaning, and I know the weights and springs are good in the 52. steveplym Posted June 3, 2008 Report Share Posted June 3, 2008 I switched out the distributor from a '35 Plymouth and it fit my '47 218 motor. Had to readjust the distributor so the timing would be correct, but shafts are the same. Just check to make sure yours looks the same and the shaft is the same length and you should be fine.
