This is non-mopar, but this forum has always been so helpful. I installed a new engine with stock trans into a '63 Rambler Classic. It uses a torque tube behind the std. trans. The tube is still connected to the rear axle & diff. I can't mate the transmission and tube because the ujoint sticks out the far

Is there are a trick to mounting this kind of style? (Sure is more of a pain than an open driveshaft) I hope I don't have to remove the rear axle or something.

From my limited experience working on our 50 chevy project its my understanding that either the rear end needs to be removed or the engine and tranny have to be lined up with the tube as they are installed
