Gives maps plus word directions of where to turn, what highway to take, etc. http://www.historic66.com/description/ There are books of similar nature available, probably at bookstores, online, and from Rt 66 magazine. Thinking in advance about the old Plymouth doings next June. I was trying to determine what way to go from Joplin to Tulsa via old 66 for the most part. It appears that can be done (more or less). When you get to Tulsa, 11th Street is the route. My next question is - how long will going this way take?? On the interstate it is about 100 miles -- an hour and a half to two hours. Tony C. set it all up and we had a great time traveling what was left of the old road. There really is quite a bit left to see. Rough as can though. Drove back from the Tulsa fair a year ago on the ol' 66 just for a change of scenery. A lot of stops getting through Tulsa but a decent trip back to KS. OK also has the route pretty well marked.
