pics of dad's 52 b-3-c fluid drive.  was last driven, where parked, in his garage in 1987.  thinking about suggesting my youngest get it back road-ready as a "senior project" next year.  mostly needs rewiring, as electrical issues were the primary reason for parking it (much of the original cloth wiring was disintegrating, and although a previous owner had converted it to 12-v, with an alternator, it was still using the VR).

I sure miss green grass and flowers.   Awesome pic with the wild flowers.  We put in a large area of wild flowers last year on my back fence line.  You gave me a great idea for my trucks this summer. Thanks.

Hello all

I just found this site doing research on my 1951 Fargo. What a wonderful resource you people have developed here. I can see I'll be making use of your expertise as I move ahead with my project. I'm a complete new comer to this vintage, but I've fallen in love with my truck. I plan to do a complete mechanical rebuild with the usual upgrades as money and time allow. This is how she looked the day I bought her.

I plan to leave the patina as untouched as possible but, there are a few areas that need welding / replacing . I've been working on wood replacement in the box the last few days. This task turned into a father son project, my father is a retired carpenter and he is milling all the boards. He's having a great time. I've found a 1 ton FN2 series but, the body is different the hood is about an inch longer than mine which is disappointing because it was perfect. The doors seem to fit and I'm hoping the 228 4 speed in the 1 ton will fit my 1/2 ton.

Just went through this thread. It's a great history lesson on these trucks. I noticed I haven't posted current pics of my '52. It's back on the road but will take a summers work to "detail" it. For recent lookers, the truck was in my garage when it burned down.

I put these on a recent post, but what the heck.  Attached is a photo is my '53 Dodge back in the winter of '78 at the Aquatic Station, Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, TX.  We are about to head to Canyon Lake to work on our graduate research.  After lots of trials and tribulations, I finished rebuilding the truck on May 28, 2016.

Not mine. Saw this today. What is year, model, etc. possibly headed to some car auction. The driver was pulling out so took these as he left.

Couldn't tell for sure if the grill has lower stainless bars or not but it appears to not have them. Which would make that a 46-47 WD 20/21

Here is a photo of mine with the bed reinstalled. Will be removing it to complete refinishing the wood. Also working on hooking up the e-brake cables to the original handle under the dash and continue the rewiring job.attachicon.gifimage.jpeg

Looks great!!
