Which Overdrive??

Been planning on a Lycock Model J Overdrive for my 1941 WC-12 but, I totally forgot Dodge offered an Overdrive. Which one would have been used on a 41' 1/2 ton truck?? I understand the Lycock is going to be much newer and a relatively easy rebuild but, if I can go original, I would. I would appreciate hearing from other truck owners about their driving experiences with an overdrive. Thank you!

Dodge trucks... as far as I know never offered an OD on any 1/2 ton PU's 1941 -52.

They did in the bigger 1-1/2 tonners starting in around 1951 in the 5 speeds...4th direct, 5th OD gear.

Thanks for setting me straight!! I had read in a Dodge truck book that Dodge offered a 3 speed transmission with overdrive from 1933-1960. This was NOT an official manual but, it DID deal with the lighter trucks.

I did a clutch job on a 1956 1/2 ton PU that had the R10 OD in it a few years back. An original truck..
