Andydodge
Gidday Mate!!!!!............lol........not another Aussie here..........lol..............o/k what we need to know is what engine do you have, ie, is it a Dodge/Plymouth 23" long engine or the DeSoto/Chrysler 25" long version which is sometimes referred to as a "KEW" engine..........the measurement of the cylinder head either 23 or 25 inches is absolutely essential before trying to answer the question of speed parts availability.............and as an aside BOTH 23" and 25" engines were used in the same year depending on which transmission was requested or installed at the factory........a 3 speed manual, a 3 speed manual with Overdrive or the 2 speed Powerflite Auto were ALL optional here in Oz from the early 50's.......so more info is needed....... some pics of the car would be good as we all like lots of pics and finally.........Welcome Aboard.............I'm in sunny South Grafton, Andy Douglas Edited August 21, 2019 by Andydodge

Andydodge
Livlow............just replied to your other post but I assume then you have the 25" engine........speed bits are harder to get for the 25" engine as it was originally the DeSoto/Chrysler engine and they tended not to be hoted up...........but intakes were made and Langdons Stovebolt Engineering made them, also George Ashe did so.....finned heads were made too..........an old Oz trick was to use the Holden Red motor intake with a bit of fiddling on the 25" engine tho' carby adaptors will have to be made to angle the carbys correctly, Langdons also make/modify the Chev S10 HEI to use on the flathead six............the various late model gearbox adaptors to fit the T5, and other Jap 5 speeds rely on using the standard mopar bellhousing with its attached rear engine mounts and clutch so as you don't have this you'll have to chase it up......the mopar bellhousing also provides the rear engine mounts so using a gearbox adaptor such as that from Wilcap which fits between the engine block and the new bellhousing means you have to make rear mounts........also there were 3 different numbers of rear crank flange bolt setups......4, 6 and 8 depending on who/what/when........lol........which may or may not make your adaption easier or not..........anyway can you confirm exactly what engine length your car has........23 or 25" head length, does your engine number start with "KEW"?............regards, Andy Douglas Edited August 25, 2019 by Andydodge
