Bingster
Lacking a commercial pre-painting cleaner, what is a good substitute? They're only interior window frames.
Reg Evans
I've used lacquer thinner and brake cleaned many times successfully.
DJ194950
Acetone works for me. I,ve read of commercial car painters using carb cleaner to clean out their sprays guns as a final cleaner so it should be fine also. If there is still some older paint left on your parts-be careful as some cleaners/solvents will wrinkle /lift older paints. test on a small hidden spot. Bingster
Thanks. They are primed with 2K primer and have been sanded. By the way, do you have to lightly re-sand a surface to get to "fresh" primer? I seem to recall I saw that somewhere, or maybe on another type of paint.
