Doug&Deb
I need left hand studs for my Coronet. Any ideas for a source?
greg g
Dormans catalog at your parts store or order on line.
Doug&Deb
Thanks, I’ll check Dormans. Everything I’ve seen online is serrated and mine aren’t. I wasn’t sure if that mattered. Just wondering what anyone else used. Only Dodge used studs and nuts for some reason.
Frank Elder
Is it going to be a pure restoration....100 % as it left the factory or are you thinking of modifications ?
Doug&Deb
I’m keeping it stock. It’s easier for me.
Frank Elder
Sounds good, I changed my L hand studs over to righty tighty just to make things easier on my feeble mind.....lol.
kencombs
You may have to slightly enlarge the holes in order to use the serrated studs. I think the smooth ones where held in place by upsetting the metal around the hole on the outside at the factory.
Doug&Deb
I found some at an old dealership that still has old parts. The shank is .010 larger so I may have to ream the holes but I’ll make it work.
