Ajgkirkwood
So as I'm hunting for a replacement motor for my car, I was offered a long block that was a back up generator that ran on natural gas. I ask for pictures of the rear and it looks like it's a 6 bolt flywheel, which would mean a 6 bolt crank. Also the flywheel on this motor doesnt seem to support a clutch on it. My new flywheel on my 265 is a 8 bolt. Suggestions on what I can do?
dpollo
I have never yet run into a 6 bolt crankshaft although I have heard they exist. The original engine in a 40 Windsor had 4 holes Curious.

Dodgeb4ya
I bet you can bolt a 4 bolt flywheel to both a six and eight bolt crank using the matching position of 4 crank bolts.

Eight hole crankshaft and 4 bolt flywheel for sure. I did it.
