John Reddie
I remember a lot of add-ons and do-dads we could get for our cars back in the '50's but this one here is not known to me. I wonder how well it worked. Anybody here remember it or had one? John R

plymjim
If you paired this with those little propellors that went between your carb & manifold (mini superchargers?) You could probably gain about 100 bhp. Your mileage and horsepower may vary due to something or other.

John Reddie
Hey, for $2.98 + .36 cents handling fee, I'd try one. I remember that Western Auto stores used to sell gadgets and dress-up items for cars. John R
leadheavy52
Reminds me of the days when you could order a bunch of stuff like this from the J.C. Whitney catalog. Oh the cool stuff they would have in there.
Dennis Detweiler
Why not a duck call? Baseball cards and clothes pins for a flapping sound? Are the old Thrush glasspacks still in production?

Plymouthy Adams
glass pack and thrust two different style mufflers....glass packs are on line with what we called cherry bombs...as I think the originals were red in color and the Thrust was a thinner material, crimped ends and bit more round....both are still available.... Plymouthy Adams
unsafe at any speed...a whistle is to sound an alert...not to be used as a constant drone, it is nothing more than a public nuisance as are many unsilenced exhaust systems......but then it seems more and more idiots are being produced daily also......time to give them whistle pigs a potato to roast as they travel...nudge nudge hint hint

BobDeSoto
I once installed a pair of Hush Thrush on a Z28 - 2 1/2" pipes. Started the car and blew the end off one the the mufflers!
