Convertible top frame colour scheme

Hi,

I did poste this question already in another thread that I have highjacked. Sorry for that.

"Just wondering, does anybody know what the original colour definition was for the convertible top frame itself for a 1949 Plymouth?".

My manual does not give me any hints regarding this subject matter.

thanks/ Thom

As a general rule the convertible top iron were pained a taup / medium tan color. I had the top irons for my '39 Plym conv powder coated in a tan color, they look great. The original bolts are special shoulder bolts, they were originally chrome plated, I had new bots made out of stainless steel.
