bjr
Was there a optional heater above drivers feet on left side of the dash? I mean this car has a heater on both sides of the dash and I wanted to know if that was original of added later?
busycoupe
yes! i believe that any heater was an option on a D24, but the simple "Comfort Master" installed on the passenger side was the least expensive, and likely most common. Many of the upscale custom models were fitted with dual heaters.
BobT-47P15
Yes Some cars of the 40s had dual heaters. I think Young Ed has two in his car with attendant plumbing. My 47 Plymouth convertible had two when I got it....I think the left one was a different model than the right. I took both out and replaced only the right one as I figured there would not be much winter driving. This one has an attachment for having defrosters. This is close to original color. Yes my p15 has dual heaters. The drivers side one is a mirror image of Bobs pass side one.
