31cm6
I have a 1931 Chrysler CM6 . Anyone have part number for master cylinder. I have found a 544 Master cylinder but have found conflicting reports of fitment. The photo looks identical to mine.
JohnS48plm
I was working on the brakes on a 1931 Chrysler CM6 last spring. We honed the original master cylinder and put in a kit. We still need to pull the drums to check wheel cylinders and drums.
31cm6
I got mine to stop leaking. The wheel cylinders on mine were locked up. It looks like the rod on the brake pedal needs to be adjusted out. I don’t think the piston is going in far enough.
JohnS48plm
Is the pressure relief hole in the bottom of the reservoir clear? If that's plugged one or more of the wheel cylinders may not release.
31cm6
Yes the hole is clear. The sticking was from 15 years of sitting . I honed and rebuilt the wheel cylinders and master cylinder I think once I get the rod adjusted so that the brake pedal doesn’t hit the floor before the master cylinder bottoms out I will be
