1941coupe
I'm installing a new head gasket on my flathead six for my 1941 Plymouth. So there are three special head bolts with drilled and tapped heads. These also have a 11/16" head on them, as the others do. These three accept the screws that attach the throttle bracket and the air cleaner bracket to the cylinder head. I want to install three new bolts, as the existing ones are original to the car and not new like the others. Does anyone know of a supplier who sells new bolts such as these? Don Coatney
I do not know of a supplier for these special bolts. However I have re-used these bolts for over 50 years with no problems. Just clean the threads and use thread sealer on them and you will be good to go.
DJ194950
https://www.vintagepowerwagons.com/ These people used to have NOS head bolts for something $7-8. They had the type you are looking for.
