New to this site. and have a question. I’m working on my 1947 Plymouth Deluxe, trying to replace master cylinder.    How does the large pin that holds the pedals on master cylinder come out.

Remove the floor panel from the inside of he car, then the master cylinder and pedals can be removed as a unit. Once you get it on the bench you can remove the circlips to remove the pedals. The pin should then slide,or perhaps press out of the master cylinder.  I do not remember it being too difficult to get out.
