I need to install these springs on the hinges of my hood (1949 Chrysler Windsor). Could someone show me a picture of what it looks like once installed? I also welcome any advice on how to install the spring. I believe I know where the spring goes and I indicate it on the picture.

here are pics of an original hinge .

Your hinge has been incorrectly repaired ( bolt and nut). These hinges are very hard to find in good condition and hard to re-rivet as factory so they work properly.

It's very common to find 1949-50 Chrysler hood hinges that are broken or the hood won't stay up/ close or open correctly.

Tightness of the Stepped rivet pivots is critical for the hood to open and close properly.

Good luck?2023924509_HingeHood1949-early50Chrysler(2).JPG.e4e2f89b767554befd513a458ce544d3.JPG1156004493_HingeHood1949-early50Chrysler(3).JPG.686fa1116cde5c1ad5d62896d2a4f0b0.JPG
