C3-B Truck: Rear Axle Oil Capacity?

Does anyone know approximately how much oil is needed to fill a 1956 C3-B truck's rear axle to the correct level? I believe it's the standard rear axle, 3.73:1 ratio,  semi-floating 4-pinion version.

I have the workshop manuals and parts list for the truck, but while it tells me how to fill it and what grade of oil to use, it doesn't give a capacity - so I don't know how much oil I need to buy in the first place.

The axle has been drained and flushed so it's getting filled from completely empty.

Thanks!

Jonny

The lubrication section in the factory manual might have a chart showing capacities as well as lubricant requirements, locations for grease fittings, etc... this section is separate from the repair sections for the axles, engine, steering, etc....but for rear axles, I would think that if ya filled up to the bottom of the fill plug, that should be adequate...I have seen a similar lack of information for gearbox lubricants on agricultural equipment, where the assumed skilled eye would be able to estimate fluid capacities by sight
