Radarsonwheels
Howdy folks I’m fitting my bed and cab to my chassis and I would like to know how much space you have between the front of the bed and the back of your cab. Especially on a C-series but I wouldn’t mind seeing how the B truck did it. On my truck the bed front used to be bowed and smashed way forward in from it’s hard life as a working truck. I pounded it much flatter but now the convex bubble of the back of the cab hits first in the middle leaving a larger gap at the sides. Would anybody be willing to take a picture of their cab/bed gap from the side? Thanks! Radar
Todd B
Wouldn’t the Runningboard length determine that
pflaming
My 52 truck gap: starts the width of a 2X4 at the corner, then narrows to a very tight fit for a 1X4. I would suspect the curvature of the cabs could vary.
Radarsonwheels
Thanks Pflaming!! Todd B it would but I sectioned my longbed 12” in the front and the boards have to shrink too- I’m running a first gen dakota frame that I sectioned to 102.5” wheelbase.
