blue p15
Hi guys. I was doing some work underneath my P15 and noticed that the short high pressure line at the fuel pump is hooked up to the inlet side. Is this right? I would expect it to be on the outlet side. Am I missing something here? Thanks in advance for your usual good advise!!
Don Coatney
Inlet (suction) side of the fuel pump must be flexible as the engine has rubber mounts and will move. Discharge side of the pump is solid and moves with the engine.
blue p15
Thanks, Don. Does it need to be a high pressure hose? Or will a section of regular hose work the same?
Plymouthy Adams
the high pressure fuel line as intended for EFI is about 6-8 bucks a foot...in this case there is NO high pressure and any fuel hose of the correct ID should be all that is needed
blue p15
Makes sense, Plymouthy Adams. Thanks!
