Guest Posted June 1, 2018 Report Share Posted June 1, 2018 I am in need of some help on my 49 Chry, when looking at the generator from the rear where are the arm and field posts located? greg g Posted June 1, 2018 Report Share Posted June 1, 2018 I believe small post field, large post battery. Start the car, set the idle for 1000 or so. Plymouthy Adams Posted June 1, 2018 Report Share Posted June 1, 2018 I think this is the third post on your generator/starter electrical...if you were to keep it all combined, would be easier for folks to follow. So far you have jumped from wanting to go with 12 volts, to rebuilding the 6 volt components and to be honest, it is confusing now as to what your true intent is for your build.
