Rjpond
On my 1955 c-series project, I’m ready to fasten up the gas tank to the frame. My brain remembers a photo that was posted showing a bolt with a spring that allows the tank to move a bit should the frame twist a bit. Ive tried to search the forum but with no luck. I’m hopeful that someone with a better memory than me could help me find that post thanks
motterso
Something like these? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Gas-Tank-To-Frame-Mounting-Kit-12-Pieces-Stainless-Steel-Ford-Passenger/113002608033?hash=item1a4f7af5a1:g:QTAAAOSwj2RbAC44
59bisquik
Here ya go... I can get you better pics if you need. The back of the tank hangs from the crossmember and is solid bolted. The front sits on top of the crossmember lip and has the springs as shown.
