Brake Lines

Recommended Posts

So I screwed up the other day sort of. I had the boards out of the back of the truck cleaning the frame. By accident I stepped on the dif and broke the brake line. Of corse the brake lines were on probably since new and well I broke the passenger side line.

If you are going to do your brake lines yourself make sure after making them and flaring the ends you tighten everything down. I had 5 days of leaks because 1 I didn't by new copper washers for the little block the bolts into the wheel cylinder and 2 I had to tighten the lines a few times till it stopped leaking. All in all not a real tough job just a pain in the ass with leaks. I did both of the back ones. Front ones were done 6 years ago and still look new.
