Hey all.

Trying to find some different wheels for my 51 desoto, does anyone know the sizes for the standard 15 inch wheels?? Width, back spacing and centre bore??

I want some larger steels but choice is limited over here in the UK, i have found some 20x6.5's over here cheap for new but they have an et offset of 33mm which is approx 4.5 inch backspace. And a centre bore of 66.1mm (2.6 inches).

If these will fit i could get 4 for the price of just 1 Detroit steel wheel!

Hi

A 6.5" wheel with a 33mm offset should have a backspace of about 5" not 4.5" (unless it's a negative offset which I doubt, where it would be more like 2.5") as the rim width is calculated on the "J" section not the overall width but, the backspace is measured on the overall width which usually about 1" wider.

I have a 48 plymouth so I don't  know if they relate but I used a ford ranger or explorer steel for mockup on my tires. It is a 15x6 with 12mm offset. The tires are H78-15.  I have about 3/4" in front between the tire and tierod end. The rims I'm going to use are 15x6 steelies with 3.75" backspace or about 6mm offset. Should gain me 1/4" or so on the front. No issues in the rear with either rim.
