oil pump question

we just recently did a check on the oilpump, oil pressure valve, cleaned the oilpan and the oil suction, device (don't know the correct name...), changed some gaskets, oil filter housing, etc...

Do we have to take special measures if we start the engine again (after filling her with fresh oil off course..) I mean do we have to prime the pump/suction tube in any way or just start the engine and check oil pressure?

As always... any advise is greatly appreciated!

Next best option is remove all the spark plugs and spin the engine in short bursts until you see pressure on the gauge.

Or even do both.
