50 Coronet first start and drive.

Here are some YouTube videos of the 50 Coronet running and driving. Got it buttoned up Sunday. Now it's time to start the rewire.

Something magical about driving that car. The Gyro-Matic transmission is a trip!  The driver is my friend and this is his first restoration project, and I'm glad I can help him out. 

I did cut the part where my buddy and I start asking each other weather or not we torqued the lug nuts or not.

Everybody forgets something sometime.  After I put my A back together, I drove over an hour before the front shocks fell off.  Not bad for finger tight... :)

I once forgot to install a torque converter and only realized after the car was on the ground. I was so happy with how well the job went until I walked into the shop, and there it was, sitting on the bench. Dohh!!

my first car, 1950 meadowbrook. love the square gauges. tinted green if i remember right. engine sounds great. was that a 12 volt start up? i also remember the back seat.    capt den

Yep, green tinted gauges. Well mostly anyway, they have faded quite a bit. 

Engine started on 12V
