greg g Posted November 23, 2017 Report Share Posted November 23, 2017 My dad had 2 fluid drive Dodges, both with manual three speeds. A 49 wayfarer and a 54 Meadow Brook. I recall that the throw out bearing on the 49 being replaced when the car had about 60 to 70 kmiles, but no mention of disc replacement. He was a very gentle driver. I don't recall him using first gear much on either car unless the car was full of us and a load, or when he was pulling a trailer loaded with camping or otherwise loaded.
