Catimann
Looking to get an idea if I can buy a camper for a 1 ton. From reading this page: https://www.hemmings.com/magazine/hmn/2012/04/1939-1947-Dodge-Trucks/3710541.html I have the idea that a 1 ton has either an 8 or 10 ft box. However the width and height are not easy to find. Would like to find other sources of overall history or info as well. Thanks
HughForrest
Mar-K has most of the info you probably want here: http://www.mar-k.com/_assets/images/instructions/dodgeshortbedidentification.pdf Just re-read. You're not talking short bed. Nevermind... Edited October 24, 2017 by HughForrest poor reading skills
Catimann
I don't know, on the site it states: Bed inside dimensions measured 48- 1/4" x 78-1/8" with a height of 17" to the top of the bedside curl. This is for the right year range 39-47 and for some reason I doubt they would have made it wider because the sheet of plywood is what I think has defined a box width since trucks first came to be. 4x8 plywood was std. in 1928. The 17" side ht I am willing to bet is the same as well because it costs money to change these things. I could be wrong. Thanks
