tanda62
Anyone have any idea why the front left cab mount is different from the other three as shown in this diagram from my 1953 Dodge Truck Shop Manual "B-4 Series? My B4C cab mounts are just like the manual but I am curious why the large insulator is not used on the front left.
Merle Coggins
The left front needs to be more rigid due to the steering shaft

pflaming
Ggdad, will new body mounts help reduce engine and chassis noise in the cab? If the ones on now are rock hard and the new ones pliant, seems it should make a difference.

pflaming
I have a moderately loud muffler and fixed exhaust pipe hangers. I'm going to change the hangers to flexible straps and get a Quiet muffler. Those changes may make a big difference. I've recently bought an overdrive and will install that also. I dont know how that installs, but there must be a way. That should make for a nicer ride. I was very fortunate to buy a running 218 engine andR10 OD for $400 only 90 miles from me which was a bargain. Since I'm still laid up a MOPAR friend in that town checked it out for me, paid for it, and hauled it to his shop. How cool is that?
