wdoland
Summit has a reasonably priced 6 volt electric fuel pump with good reviews. I have a stock spitfire 6 cyl. engine. Which pump is best for this engine, the 8 psi or 4 psi ?
maok
4psi Will it be used full time or just as a primer? If its full time then a regulator would be a good idea as well.
wdoland
Part time, getting vapor lock when it's hot Will put a switch under dash and just use it for starting then shut it off Edited August 31, 2017 by wdoland
maok
Just use the 4psi pump attached close to the fuel tank with an inline fuse.
pflaming
These pumps burn out FAST if they run dry. I mounted mine to the frame with rubber grommets between the frame and the pump. I don't know if that is necessary, but can't hurt. My pump is a GAST.
