Heres a couple of pics of the 230 I was going to build & install in the 41 Coupe, however I ended up having to sell it and the engine & T5 etc..................the head was by Earl Edgerton, an Edgy Head, intake was a twin carb Offy via US ebay, finned sideplates I got from US Ebay but Earl does them now, the water pump was a Holden red motor pump with an adaptor that the guy I bought the engine from made up, the engine was an ex Sydney airport tug engine, the twin outlet headers were stock Plymouth manifolds with the front & back cut off and a local blacksmith welded up as US sourced headers angle their outlets in the same space that RHD steering boxes and brake/clutch pedals also live..... ...............the pics of the engine bay shows the original 201 engine which had been converted to 12 volts before I got the car, I installed the Tom Langdon, Stovebolt Engineering HEI dissy and leads also the Finned Beehive Oil Filter came via US ebay........I also was going to use & had a set of ARP head studs & nuts instead of the stock bolts..........I had a set of the chromed acorn nut covers as shown on the 201that fitted over the stock bolt heads...........I was also going to replace the stock thermostat housing with a chromed alloy V8 Mopar thermostat housing and use a late model type thermostat as the 230 would be an internal bypass engine like the 201 was(?)........the 230 would have also had a pair of Holden Strombergs as shown.........btw do you know that Holden grey engine intakes are a good fit to the 23" mopar but carbys need to have angled adaptors made to kick the carbys straight.............regards, Andy Douglas.

Kiwi....I assume that your Cranbrook is a RHD US built/ sourced car, not an Oz assembled one?..........you've asked about a triple intake for the 23" engine which is why I make the US assumption........the Langdon HEI was the best thing I installed on the car, instant starts & good running...........my car was an older resto that never had an oil filter so I thought if I was going to get one I might as well save up and get a good one so I got the Beehive, wasn't cheap and neither were the stainless oil lines....lol...... what do you have in mind to do to your car?............any pics of it?.............regards, andyd

To be honest mate I don't know a huge amount about it. This is my first old Mopar. I wouldn't know how to find that info out all I know is I have put the tape measure across the head and it measures 23" haha. The guy I bought it off knew even less than me, so all I know is it's been converted to 12v (still needs some finishing, all the gauges and lights work but wipers and radio don't) so far I have lowered it a few inches and relocated the front shocks and would like to build it as a period correct mild custom

Here my engine and I know you said no aluminum head but it gives and idea. There's a fellow on here that posted a picture of his  engine with some bolt on polished bars to the steel head that made it appear like an aluminum head. It looked very nice

Those are carter/weber progressive 2barrels. Got them thru tom Langdon. Not expense($95 ea) .  Huge improvement over the stock intake/carb set up

Kiwi...........those Weber carbys are similar if not the same that were used on XD-XF Falcons and possibly 2litre Escorts etc........I still have a pair that was gunna try on the 230 engine at one time, mine came from XE's or XF's if I remember correctly and are 34mm, at least that's whats stamped on the body.......that's a nice looking engine in Johns car isn't it.............andyd
