I have no interest in starting a fight but when you start a thread - "    BW t-5 trans swap; bellhousing details"    and then post you want the thread to be focused on Bellhousing, I would suggest you poisoned the well before you started drilling. Id bet the farm lots wont even bother reading the thread.

The title has been changed so feel free to delete your post.................

Don, that is really cool that you modified the existing bellhousing instead of using an adapter.  I'm assuming you didnt have to sue a pilot bushing to get the transmission shaft to fit into the crank?

Damn!   Is he post title gonna have to change again?

At the time I did this (about 17 years ago)  I don't believe there was an adapter available. So as not to contaminate this thread follow this link to see photos of details. http://smg.photobucket.com/user/DonCoatney/library/T-5?sort=3&page=1

I bought a truck load of  '35 Plymouth parts, so I thought I'd bring this thread back and add this 1935 Plymouth PJ bell housing. Very similar to the '36, but the '35 has an additional boss at the top to accommodate  the starter pedal linkage, no screen riveted  over the cooling vents at the top as was added for '36, and two tapped bolt holes in the right trans mount bracket for an exhaust pipe hanger.

CASTING #  636140-5       1935 PLYMOUTH PJ     ANGLED BRACKETS FOR MOUNTS     7 3/4"  DEPTH       4 1/8" HOLE

If I ever recover from this flu nonsense, I have a lot of truck bell housings to share....  Sigh

I see this as a helpful thread, especially if your looking to find a correct bellhousing for your application.  Every car/truck I find have the drivetrains missing.  So I really like this!  Thanks for posting guys.
