Brad Waters
Is there any way to test a fuel pump? Or does someone know how much pressure it should have. When I start driving it falls on its face like it's not getting enough fuel any help would be awesome
greg g
FuelFuel pressure gauge should be between 5 and 7.5 psi. Quantity test should yield 8 to 10 ounces per 12 pulses. How old is the flex line between the frame cross member and fuel pump inlet? Have you tried blowing some low pressure compressed air from the fuel pump back to the gas tank? Don Coatney
Many vacuum gauges are compound gauges meaning they read both pressure and vacuum. Good way to test fuel pump pressure.
Merle Coggins
5 - 7.5 psi sounds a bit high. I recall it being 3 - 5 psi.
