plymjim
I'm sure this has been addressed before but forgive me for not being computer savy enough to find it. Does anyone have a drawing of how the rear motor mounts are assembled on a p-15? I have been trying to chase down a vibration in my car & keep coming back to the motor mounts. Pretty sure the fellow I got the car from left something out & since it's been 40 years since I had to do mounts in one of these my memory is kinda fading. Thanks to any & all who may help. Don Coatney
This might or might not help.
plymjim
Thanks, Don, I do have all the proper parts now. Hoping the 4" bolts are all I have to change. The ones that came with the car are 6" with not enough thread to snug 'em up. REALLY hope the metal washers are under the top mounts or I'm in for a long day. Plymouthy Adams
the bolts length is set to allow a fit without clamping...this is very important step, the procedure is outlined in the Plymouth manual on page 151 of my book...basic same pic as don posted....read the specs close...it will prevent premature wear and harshness.. plymjim
Thanks for the tip, Plymouthy. I have only a Motors manual. Should go ahead & spring for a MOPAR specific one I guess.
meadowbrook
Excellent! This might be the reason my Dodge vibrates when starting out
Young Ed
Keep in mine I think P15 was a transition era and you may find you don't have rear lower mounts. The important piece to remember is what Tim said-The bolt tightens on the tube without crushing the mounts.
