2017 Greenwich Concours d'Elegance

It was an honor and privilege to participate in the 2017 Greenwich Concours d'Elegance with our 1951 Dodge Coronet Convertible.  To be recognized among Duesenbergs Cadilacs & Packards that are worth hundreds of thousands of dollars was very faltering. I met lots of cool people and including Wayne Carini from the TV show Chasing Classic Cars. Wayne liked the car and could not believe that was the original factory color (Kachina Bronze).   The most popular attraction on the car was the "Dodge Ram".  Most did not know that dodge used the Ram for short period during the early 50s.

Your car looks great.......it may have been "another old Dodge" in its younger years, but today it is

definitely a rarity and gets to hang out with the "big boys".......cool.   I really like Wayne C's show about

Chasing Classic Cars on the Velocity Channel.......he does find some real interesting things.

The Big Horn  appeared in 51 and was modified slightly for 52 and 53 but the ram as a mascot first appeared in 1932  ( possibly 31) and went from finely detailed to abstract over the years.  It last appeared on the hood of the 54 but it you stand and face a 55, the exaggerated horns form the top bars of the grille with the head as the grill center.  (no kidding ! )  It then reappeared on trucks in the 80s.
