mmcdowel
I'm replacing the gas tank on my 1950 Meadowbrook with a NOS unit.....and need a replacement for the connector between the tank and fill tube. Not exactly sure what its called? I tried the search engine to no avail......I'm pretty deep into the Dayquil this morning so that might have something to do with it. Thought of a piece of radiator hose, but I doubt that would hold up to gas fumes. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
knuckleharley
Buy one from the place you are buying your new gas tank and save on shipping.
Plymouthy Adams
NAPA will sell you a section of the correct size 'fuel rated' hose..

I got one a couple years ago. Be aware you'll likely have to buy a foot even though you likely only need 1/2 that.
Plymouthy Adams
on the average a foot is approx. (was at the time) 15.00 and should make three connectors as I think they are approx. 4 inches in length. Possibly you can sell the remaining piece here on the forum. mmcdowel
Much appreciated! Thats exactly what I will do. I thought that might be the case, but wanted to hear from you all experts first!
Plymouthy Adams
Sometimes, even a MARINE supply house will have the proper fuel hose size, possibily an alternate source..

desoto1939
Go to the NAPA and buy the correct sized fuel rubber hose it must be a fuel rubber line and not a water pump hose. Ge the foot and have a spare piece in your parts cabinet and save on the postage. Rich Hartung desoto1939@aol.com
