RedRider Posted April 6, 2017 Report Share Posted April 6, 2017 My steering wheel is in rough shape in my 48 Plymouth coupe and I am considering a new nostalgic wheel. I cant find any info on the specs on the wheel or wheel adapter kit. RedRider Posted April 7, 2017 Author Report Share Posted April 7, 2017 Thanks for responding. Sometimes I get the feeling I don't know the secret handshake here. Steering wheelis shot. Don Coatney Posted April 7, 2017 Report Share Posted April 7, 2017 Keep in mind that any replacement steering wheel should be the same size (diameter) as the original wheel. Anything smaller will make turning the wheel a lot harder especially if the car is not moving. You might be better off finding an original replacement that is in good shape. casper50 Posted April 7, 2017 Report Share Posted April 7, 2017 I've seen videos on youtube that take the bare metal hoop and completly recast it.
