thrashfit
Hi All, Rebuilding my 1954 Dodge Pickup C-1-B6 with a straight 6 engine can I run this on the unleaded petrol 95 octane we get here in the UK without damaging the head and valves ? I have read that this engine has hardened valves, is this right ? Many thanks, Dave

dpollo
I have tracked the performance of an engine I rebuilt through two owners and 80 000 miles. It still runs well and the entiredistance was run on unleaded regular. As mentioned above the hardened seats do the job. I have had no trouble with any of my own cars either.
