New (to me) trick

I wanted a hose clamp for the vacuum line on my old Plymouth. And I did not want it to be a modern screw style clamp.

Looking around on the web I found a commercially manufactured tool that allow you to use wire to make hose clamps. But no store near me carries those tools (or a similar competitor).

While it is possible to make your own tool, I really only need to do one small hose which is already a pretty good fit so does not need a lot of clamping force. So that was more work than I wanted to do.

And then I found a write up on a way to do this using stuff I already had in the garage. I thought I'd pass it on.
