Just google search for Fluid-drive, semi-automatic with Chrysler and you will find lots of information about the transmissions.

Been offered an engine which is 25" long.

How do you tell what size it is. It has the firing order stamp on the head, as is apparently from a dodge. Is there decoding in the engine number .

The number stamped into the flat just below the head at the left front is a good start. If its been messed with measuring the bore/stroke might be the only sure way.

Dave.....check my reply to Likealeica's 1939 Plymouth question, he is also in the UK and if your car is factory RHD then what I say may help to identify what you have.......regards from Oz...............andyd
