400mphpc
Need some suggestions. While in the process of putting in new heat/sound pad and new carpet, I broke my gas pedal off the floor mount. The metal brace that the rubber pedal bolts too, snapped off. Where the heck do I get one of these? I can tell that over time the front bolt was also stripped, so it was not getting the total support it required. I'll upload a pic as soon as I can get the size reduced.

400mphpc
No luck on eBay or the web. What do you call the part that I broke? Accelerator bracket? Or Mounting plate? Maybe I'm calling it the wrong thing in my web search. Do any of you know if this was cast iron or aluminum? It almost looks aluminum but find that a bit odd for the year (1950)
Jerry Roberts
Got a magnet ? It won't stick to aluminum .
ptwothree
Mine broke in exactly the same place. Clean it up real good and use some JB weld and a small clamp to stick it together.

400mphpc
Thanks for the suggestions gents. I'll continue my quest to find one and try the JB Weld for a short term solution.
