lol.....well geez Mark, 3 years in row you're flying out.....didn't realize the beer was that good out here!

Couldn't think of a better truck to put on this years flyer, than yours.

Ok....I did think of Merle's, but I was worried you'd change your mind and not show up.....lol

It's really the only week long vaca I take all year long, starting with the Q and ending with the Frozen Four.  What better vacation can you think of then to start with good friends, good food and trucks.  ANd end with good Frineds, good beer, and good* hockey (*only good if it has the Gophers in the mix)!

One of these years I am coming to the BBQ.  I just need to stop making projects for myself so I can afford to go.

Life is SHORT! Get yourself out here Todd!

Not to pull this OT but, for those who think they can't afford the flight..... Be thinking of "airline miles" for the years to come.

I am not a fan of credit, but if you are able to pay it off monthly.....

My plane ticket to MN was $15. :D

What to do this weekend?????

• Get your vacation request slip filled out, turn it in Monday

• Check the trailer bearings, lights and registration

• Get the bugs out of the truck/car brakes

• Fix the blinkers

• Double check Google maps on how to get to the BBQ!!!!!

• Get the plane tickets boughten

• Pick your team for the frozen four

• Get the dialog going on a caravan

• Finally slap in that third member in your 52 and drive it all the way from Torrance

• Put out the fires

• Take time to make friends with the cops on your planned route

• Dust off the speedometer and practice your Fluid-Drive skills

• Check your truck bed for any Chevy or Ford guys trying to sneak in

• And bring extra batteries for the camera!

ITS JUST AROUND THE CORNER!!!!

Ok....its just  7 working weekends to the BBQ.!!!!!!!!!

Time to shake it down and road test the beast!!!

Make sure you have a tool box, a box of parts AND temporay part makers...ie duct tape, wire, clips, and clamps!

Read up on quick remedies* for road repair...bring your manual (CD or hard copy)!

Nothing like being ready and getting out of a silly bind. And you get to share your triumph at the Q!

"A few minutes of preparation can save you hours of perspiration"

* If your carburetor floods, spraying WD-40 or ether will dry out the carb and manifold....learning this at the race track has saved me numerous times on the road when testing engine set ups. WD-40 and ether sprays are highly flammable, so use them with caution.

I wonder how many patients have been told "take two pilothouses and call me in the morning" ?

Probably a good thing he's not a back surgeon..... He would gravitate to the L6...... Lol
