Coolant leak on my Flathead 6

I replaced my water pump twice but it still has a drip from off the oilpan near the front. Could it be a leak from a timing cover bolt? I don't remember if any of these bolts go thru to the water jackets in the block. My Engine is from a 1946 Dodge 218 or 230 I think, but it came in my 1934 Plymouth when I bought it. I love the way it runs and drives, but this has become pretty annoying.

The mount bolts must be sealed with a sealer too. I always pull the back cover off the new water pump and put permatex sealer on the gasket to be safe.

The new pumps just have a dry gasket installed.

The man wants to know if any of  the timing cover bolts go into the water jacket . I don't remember . Anyone ?  EDIT ;   I just did a search on " timing cover bolts water jacket "   In January of 2012 I posted that at least one of the timing cover bolts goes into the water jacket . If I remember correctly those bolts are location specific so you want to get them in their correct holes .

Thanks for everyone's input.

I did put sealer on all the bolts and used a gasket, I used new bolts gave them a liberal goop of sealer. It could be a dry gasket on the pump itself, the part that sandwiches to the block. Water does not seem to be going from the pump, and the motor mount covers most of the timing cover bolts, so that may be the issue.
