suntennis
The fill tube for the 49 thru 52 Suburban is the same and different than non Suburban models because the gas tank is different. These are of a 52 Suburban gas fill tube.
Plymouthy Adams
yes...I have a 51 Suburban here with stock fill tube....I just was trying to get Don to post a pic so to help identify what he has...
Don Colliau
The one I have is not even a Plymouth part. I suspected that from the beginning. There is a flange at the top of it that is the same size as the hole in the fender sith three screw holes in it. I will build what I need. Plymouthy Adams
what you may very well have gotten was the intended new input tube for a flush mount upgrade with hinged door...
Don Colliau
what you may very well have gotten was the intended new input tube for a flush mount upgrade with hinged door... I already threw that piece of junk out.
Plymouthy Adams
maybe you should throw out the tube you have...lol
Don Colliau
The other question I need an answer to is what diameter is the original tube where it goes thru the fender. I can get a end I just need to get the right size to fit a new original grommet. Thanks, Don
Plymouthy Adams
that may depend on the very filler tube grommet you have on hand..is it right for the car or was it purchased to go with the unit you are now not using...measure the hole that is on the fender if not already modified for a flush mount door and or use the very grommet that you have on hand and if you are intending to go stock you will need this grommet as it is anyway..get one from a few of the readily available suppliers mentioned here on the forum...go from there....this also depends on the very tank you using..are you stock...measure the input neck.. 2 1/4 is norm pipe diameter and the body hole is 3 inches...
